From now on May 30th is Ming-Na Wen day. That special day, just a few days ago she was honored with her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She was surrounded with family and friends sharing this moment with her. On her ceremony were her co-stars and sisters (and also her guest-speakers) from Joy Luck Club, Tamlyn Tomita, Lauren Tom and Rosalind Chao. Also some of her friends from different shows like Noah Wyle from ER, Natalia Cordova and Henry Simmons from Agents of SHIELD, The Book of Boba Fett director Bryce Dallas Howard and the Legend James Hong among others.
Here you can watch the livestream of the ceremony.

Thank you, Tam, Lauren & Roz, for being there yesterday as my guest speakers. Your speeches made me & everyone else cry & laugh. Something the 4 of us know how to do all too well when we are together. May we share another 30 years of joy and laughter!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ AND, I cannot wait to attend your Star ceremonies next!!⭐️⭐️⭐️ Love to Kieu & Janet and all the rest of our JLC family! You are all so special and important to me. Especially @amytanwriter. Amy, I hope you felt and heard my love for you. You gave me a sense of belonging with your writing. ❤️❤️❤️
The dress.
It was end of April. I asked @mark_zunino if he had anything from his collection for my Star Day I could wear. I wanted to celebrate the day with one of his designs. The very next day, Mark sent me sketches of 3 design options. I couldn’t believe it! He was going to make me an original dress!
And in less than one month and 2 fittings later, I got to wear this beautiful dress to my Walk of Fame ceremony!
Mark & I have known each other for over 20 years. In the past 2 decades, I’ve worn many of his beautiful dresses to premieres & events. He knows how to make a woman’s body, no matter what shape or size or age, look her very best. 👍🏼🥰❤️
This one was a homage to classic hollywood glam with a modern feel. Mark, you nailed it! ❤️❤️❤️
I love you so much, Mark! 🥰❤️
Thank you for your friendship. You made Ming-Na Wen Day very very special and glamorous!
The hair is by my longtime pal, @chazdean who created a modern and classic hairstyle to compliment the dress. I love the #fennecshand braid vibe too. Also, thank you. Gabino & Precious for your assists! Love you all.
The makeup is by another longtime friend, @suzannaqface. One of my besties with a heart of gold! What a flawless and beautiful job you did, Suzanna. Thank you for your friendship. I love love love you!
⭐️❤️⭐️❤️⭐️❤️⭐️❤️
This look takes work, people! From many talented people to achieve. Love my #glamteam!!!❤️❤️❤️
Also, I wore my mom’s prized pearl & diamond earrings that she had passed on down to me. I treated myself to a new pair of @louboutinworld platform shoes to complete the look. ⭐️
How else does one lay down on Hollywood Blvd and get their star, right?😎😂
Family love. ❤️❤️❤️
Sure we can all drive each other crazy sometimes, but we are always each other’s biggest champion too. I am most thankful how my mom has been recovering from her nasty car accident last Dec. I am truly thankful she’s with us. What a tough warrior.💪🏼👊🏼🙏🏼
Such an unforgettable, spectacular and profound celebration. We shed lots of tears, shared lots of laughter and joy, and felt tremendous pride when my star was unveiled. It was not just for me, even though the star has my name on it. It was for us. All of us. All the immigrants who came to this country with hopes of a better life. We all wish to achieve the American Dream. Ming-Na Wen Day was the epitome of reaching my American Dream. Thank you, @hwdwalkoffame. I am so blessed and humbled. Eternal love to my family.

All Ming-Na photos she posted on instagram on the posts above:
I was at the Ming-Na's ceremony and let me tell you it was as amazing as it looks. My day started at 8 am queuing for the event, I was the third there but the first two were there since 5am. I couldn't believe I was there, since Ming-Na was announced two years ago I promised myself that I would try to be there to support her and I was so lucky that it was my birthday week and I was on holiday that week so I booked a plane London - Los Angeles straight away. Time passed and more fans of Ming-Na were arriving, the press was arriving and asked some questions one girl from KTLA took some pics of us an interview some fans, and suddenly Ming-Na arrived. She was so sweet, she took a few seconds to say hi to us before all started.
We were at the back so we didn't have a good view of the ceremony but just being there and cheer for Ming-Na while she was honored with the Walk Of Fame star was enough. I recorded a little bit the beginning, while her, Tamlyn Tomita, Lauren Tom and Rosalind Chao were up the stage.
Here some photos I took from the ceremony. Ming-Na turned back a few times, specially when she said "to my most precious fans that they are out there" while she pointed at us is gonna be forever in my heart.
After the ceremony and before leaving she approached to us and sign some autographs. I think she recognized me because I met her two months ago on Star Wars Celebration and said "you made it!" making me speechless. Seriously she is the best, I'm glad I'm a Mingaling and I love her. She made me get over my comfort zone and travel solo to LA and that is an experience I've never forget.
Thank you Ming-Na and congratulations for that well deserved star on the Walk of Fame!
